What the Easter Programme Involves

  • Weekly 1-1 lessons before Easter to secure foundations (e.g. 2 lesson per week)

  • Increased lesson frequency during the break (e.g. 5 lessons per week)

  • Targeted independent work between sessions

  • Ongoing feedback and refinement throughout

Final lesson frequency is adjusted based on subject, target grade and starting ability.

What Makes These Tutors So Effective?

Each student follows a personalised programme combining weekly 1-1 lessons leading up to Easter with an intensive series of sessions over the break.

From the very beginning, students work with exam-standard questions.
They think aloud.
They attempt solutions.
They are guided — not carried.

When a student struggles, the lesson doesn’t move on. The tutor uses targeted questions to uncover the exact gap in understanding and works to close it.

“In a proper 1-1 lesson, the student should be doing the thinking, with the tutor guiding and refining.
If they’re just watching the tutor solve it, nothing changes long term.”
— Josh, Founder

Over a series of lessons:

  • Core knowledge is secured so exam questions actually make sense.

  • Real exam questions and paper are introduced early.

  • Students explain their thoughts out loud, so the tutor can diagnose the exact problem.

  • Each session ends with a recap of mistakes so the improvement sticks.

That’s when progress happens.

What Parents Are Saying

How to get started.

Most families start with a single lesson.

A-Level: £40/hour

If your child doesn't leave that first hour with more clarity and confidence, you don't pay.

Each tutor works with a maximum of 8 students to ensure personalised attention.
Most available spots are filled before March.

If no places are currently available, you'll be added to our priority list for the next opening.

FAQ's

faq1

. Yes - most families start with a single lesson. If it's not the right fit, we'll either match you with a different tutor or provide a full refund. No pressure to continue.

Can we try just one lesson before committing?

. We match each student based on their subject, year group, and target grade — so they’re paired with a tutor who’s taught students like them before.

 How are tutors assigned?

. Every tutor is experienced, achieved A*s at GCSE and A-Level, and now studies their subject at a top UK university. They’re trained in our proven, Cambridge-style Q&A method — designed to keep students actively thinking, not just passively listening. It’s this combination of subject mastery, teaching skill, and method that consistently gets results.

What makes your tutoring better than other services?

. Each lesson ends with a short, active recap so students leave knowing what’s improved. Tutors also send regular updates to parents — and track progress through ongoing assessment, tailored to each student.

How do you ensure quality and track progress?

. All sessions are online via Zoom/Teams. This allows us to work with the best tutors regardless of location, and many parents find it more convenient - no travel time, and they can observe sessions if helpful.

Are lessons online or in person?

. Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Biology at GCSE and A-Level — covering all major UK exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel, OCR, IGCSE.
